Montessori Classroom Assistant / Float (Part-Time, Flexible Hours)
We are an established Montessori school in Boulder, Colorado, serving children ages 18 months–12 years on a beautiful natural campus. We are seeking enthusiastic part-time Classroom Assistants and Floats for the 2026–2027 school year, beginning August 4, 2026.
We offer flexible schedules of approximately 20–30 hours per week and are looking for individuals who enjoy working with young children. Depending on school needs and your availability, you may work as a classroom assistant in a Primary (ages 3–6) classroom, as a float supporting children ages 18 months–6 years, or a combination of both.
We're especially interested in candidates who can work morning or afternoon shifts, with some flexibility in scheduling. This position is ideal for parents, college students, retirees, or anyone seeking meaningful part-time work.
Responsibilities include supporting children as they work with Montessori materials, encouraging independence and confidence, supervising lunch, rest time, and outdoor play, and helping create a safe, joyful, and respectful learning environment.
Our ideal candidate is warm, dependable, engaged, eager to learn, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. An interest in child development and Montessori education is important. Montessori credentials are welcome but not required—we provide training and mentoring.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting at $24/hour, depending on qualifications and experience
- Flexible schedules of approximately 20–30 hours per week
