We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-Level Appian Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of process-centric business solutions using Appian BPM software. You will work closely with stakeholders to analyze customer environments, understand program goals, and translate project requirements into effective, future-state business processes.
This position requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, as you will occasionally lead initiatives and collaborate with small, agile teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Design, develop, and maintain Appian-based business process management (BPM) solutions that meet client requirements and align with industry best practices.

Testing and Implementation:
Conduct thorough testing and support the deployment of developed applications to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions.
Analyze customer environments, business goals, and project requirements to define and implement future-state business processes.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and occasionally lead small project teams to deliver effective BPM solutions.
Ensure all developed solutions align with business objectives, technical standards, and compliance requirements.
Work directly with senior leaders to scope, design, and deliver Appian solutions that meet client expectations and business needs.
Partner with Scrum Masters and team members to deliver solutions on time using Agile methodologies.
Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Appian Developers, fostering their technical growth and development.
Stay current with the latest Appian features and development practices. Participate in training and certification programs supported by HumanIT Solutions.
Take advantage of mentorship and development opportunities to build senior-level architectural, technical, and managerial skills

Clearance Level:

Active Secret or Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required for access to TS/SCI facilities, environments, and computer systems.

Education: Bachelor's Degree, preference for Information Technology, or related field (or 10+ years equivalent work experience)

24 years of Appian development experience with an active Senior Appian Developer Certification.

12 years leading Appian development teams.

Strong understanding of BPM, SDLC, and Appian architecture.

Experience with database/system integration and process automation.

Proficient in root cause analysis and Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).

Excellent problemsolving, communication, and prioritization skills.

Able to work independently, lead small teams, and communicate with leadership.

If needed, willing to perform work onsite

Appian Certified Lead Developer or higher.

Experience with Appian plugins, Web APIs, and external system integrations.

Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Background in consulting or clientfacing roles.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for Appian deployments.

Experience with software development (.NET, Java, Visual Basic, C#, etc.).

Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and UI/UX design
