Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessments of patients presenting with urgent and emergent health issues, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and neurological emergencies.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests such as medical imaging (X-ray, CT scans, MRI) to inform treatment plans.
- Manage airway procedures and perform basic life support (BLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) interventions during critical situations.
- Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care to promote recovery and well-being.
Skills
- Proficiency in utilizing EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques such as radiology diagnostics essential for emergency assessments.
- Familiarity with procedures including suturing, wound care, airway management, and catheterization.
- Ability to interpret laboratory results and diagnostic radiology reports accurately for timely decision-making.
- Experience in managing acute pain and trauma cases with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree, Texas (TX) medical license, DEA license
- BC/BE encouraged
- BLS, PALS, ACLS required. ATLS encouraged.
- 12 or 24 hour shifts
