We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Bowling Center Mechanic to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our bowling alley equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all mechanical and electrical systems that keep our center running efficiently. Your expertise will help deliver an exceptional experience for our guests by ensuring all equipment functions safely and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to a lively entertainment environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on bowling pinsetters, ball returns, scoring systems, lighting, and other mechanical components.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using schematics, technical drawings, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Repair or replace faulty parts in heavy equipment mechanics systems, including motors, belts, gears, sensors, and wiring.
- Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical diagnostics effectively.
- Conduct repairs on electrical systems utilizing appropriate tools and safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime during operational hours.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy equipment or amusement machinery.
- Strong electrical diagnostics skills with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience working with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures in a commercial setting.
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to bowling equipment or similar machinery is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
