How you'll make an impact in this role:
Drive Complete Continuum of Care (Pre & Post-Op): Seamlessly transition between prepping patients for surgery by validating clinical assessments, managing charts, and easing pre-surgical anxiety, to guiding them through immediate post-anesthesia recovery using evidence-based protocols.
Act as a Critical, Vigilant Communicator: Monitor and record patient conditions dynamically during the vulnerable post-op window, precisely executing physician orders, managing pain protocols, and serving as a calming, reassuring bridge of communication for families.
Lead Multidisciplinary Care & Smooth Transitions: Serve as the central hub of the surgical care journey, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and floor nurses to coordinate seamless interdisciplinary workflows, culminating in comprehensive discharge planning for a safe transition home.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date required.
Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
hire.
What additional requirements you'll need:
2 years medical surgical experience or 1 yrs PACU or ICU experience
