Job Summary

Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and basic hygiene routines following health and safety standards
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote social skills and emotional regulation among children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns about their child's well-being
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Support classroom management by encouraging cooperation, sharing, and respectful interactions among children
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Familiarity with child supervision techniques, behavior management strategies, and classroom management tools
- Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), pediatric first aid or related health safety training is desirable
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse and neglect
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, team members, and children in a professional manner
