The Growing Patch Academy is currently hiring an experienced Infant Lead Caregiver to oversee the daily care and learning environment for infants in our program.
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate early childhood professional who can create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment while maintaining compliance with licensing requirements and supporting positive relationships with families and staff.

Position Information
- Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- $21–$24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Monday through Friday
- Hours scheduled within our operating day of 6:00 AM–6:00 PM

Primary ResponsibilitiesInfant Care & Classroom Operations
- Oversee the daily operation of the infant classroom
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, comforting, and supervision
- Support developmental growth through age-appropriate activities and interactions
- Create and maintain a calm, nurturing, and welcoming environment
- Ensure classroom materials and learning spaces remain clean and organized
Compliance & Documentation
- Follow all DHS licensing regulations and childcare standards
- Maintain daily reports, classroom records, and required documentation
- Monitor classroom health, safety, and sanitation practices
- Ensure all infant care procedures are completed accurately and consistently
Team Collaboration
- Assist in guiding classroom aides and support staff
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and administration
- Promote consistency in classroom expectations and routines
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
Family Communication
- Build positive relationships with families
- Share daily updates regarding infant care, routines, and developmental progress
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and guardians
- Partner with families to support each child's growth and well-being
Qualifications
- Must meet DHS requirements for Infant Lead Caregiver
- Completion of Infant/Toddler development training
- Experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred
- PATCH Registry membership preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a busy early childhood environment
