Overview
Small residential cabinet shop in Fullerton, Ca that specializes in custom cabinetry is looking for a well experienced cabinet maker and installer. Only craftsman with positive attitudes, a detailed knowledge of building and installation need to apply. Job duties will include building and installing framed and frameless cabinets, wood tops, moldings and other related items, as well as installation of hardware including hinges, guides, knobs and handles.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish custom cabinets using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation
- Install cabinetry securely in residential environments, including door hanging, fixture installation, trim carpentry, and siding work
- Perform precise framing, metal stud framing, and drywall work as needed to prepare spaces for cabinetry installation
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate structural conditions such as water damage restoration or mold remediation requirements before installation
- Utilize construction estimating skills to determine material needs and project timelines effectively
- Follow safety protocols related to power tool operation, power tool safety, heavy lifting, scaffolding use, and construction site safety standards
Qualifications
- Must be able to work independently when required.
- Must be detail oriented and have ability to problem solve.
- Must work efficiently with little to no supervision.
- Must be reliable and show up on time.
- Pay is based on experience, work ethic, attitude and motivation.
- This is a position that requires the ability to read shop drawings, build custom cabinets and install them with helper.
- Must have a truck or van with all necessary tools for installation.
- Must have the knowledge of how to use all standard cabinet making and installation tools including pocket cutters, table saws, miter saws, sanders, routers and other common woodworking tools.
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Must be able to lift 100+ pounds.
- Must be able to speak fluent English to communicate with customers and other workers.
- Must be legal to work in the United States.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- 6 holidays paid per year (New years day, Memorial day, Independence day, Labor day, Thanksgiving day and Christmas day)
- 5 vacation days start accumulating after 90 day probation.
- Veterans also get paid holiday for Veterans day.
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
