JOB SUMMARY
Lab Technician(s) are involved in nearly every aspect of product testing and analysis. From research and development to process control monitoring, qualification, and certification, testing supports every facility and nearly every program.
Lab Technicians run not only mechanical testing machines to determine material properties, but also perform a variety of routine physical tests on prepregs, adhesives, plastics and other received goods in support of quality inspections.
Lab Technicians work closely with Engineering Unit Members (EUMs) to perform approved flammability testing, such as Multipurpose Bunsen Burner Testing, FAA/NBS Smoke Density Testing, and FAA/OSU Heat Release Testing.

- Set-up, conduct and monitor mechanical testing, including data acquisition systems.
- Maintain test equipment and fixtures in good working order.
- Read and understand test plans
- Follow internal test facility manual, procedures, work instructions, etc.
- Maintain and manage internal testing schedule
- Coordinate with engineers
- Monitor and document test results
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Pursuit of technical degree or trade certification (Automotive, Electrical or HVAC desired)
Experience:
- Previous assembly or quality inspection experience
- Mechanical experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Schedule: Monday - Friday with possible OT
- Shifts: 1st (6am start) & 2nd (3pm start)
- Pay rate: $18.00 - 18.50
- Location: Seal Beach, CA
