A land development and civil engineering firm is seeking a Land Survey Project Manager to lead survey operations and project delivery. This role oversees field and office survey teams and serves as the technical lead on boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction staking projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage land survey projects from scoping through final deliverables, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, and construction staking surveys
- Direct and coordinate field crews and office survey technicians
- Review survey calculations, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy and compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, municipalities, and project stakeholders on survey-related matters
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality control for the survey department
- Ensure compliance with Arizona survey standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Arizona required, or ability to obtain reciprocity
- 5+ years of land survey experience, including project management responsibility
- Strong knowledge of boundary law, ALTA survey standards, and construction staking
- Experience managing field crews and coordinating multi-discipline project teams
- Proficiency with survey software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar)
