Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance about kava beverages, smoking accessories, and other products
- Conduct product demos to educate customers on new items and enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Upsellcomplementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing backstock
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping environment
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred, with a strong focus on customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail or hospitality setting is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions
- Strong phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
- Knowledge of smoking accessories, kava products, or related merchandise is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Starting pay is $14.00 per hour. After a 90-day performance review, employees who meet or exceed expectations will be eligible for a merit-based pay increase.
