Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Technician/Installer to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and troubleshooting techniques
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, electrical wiring, and plumbing connections
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute installations accurately
- Conduct system testing and calibration to verify proper operation following installation or repair
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions and maintenance tips clearly to clients
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and property maintenance
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation systems
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance including refrigeration and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, appliances, air conditioning units, and other HVAC equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics and electrical systems within HVAC/R environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair and mechanical systems repair
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or boiler operation are a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
