POSITION SUMMARY:
The Resident Specialist is a qualified staff member with the ability to work and oversee the Male Therapeutic Living Program (MTLP) activities, provide security of the facility, and ensure the safety of all (male) residents. The Peer Specialist understands substance abuse related problems and behaviors and provides 24 hour care coordination. The Peer Specialist will also facilitate life skill groups, enforce rules and provide structure to the residents. Must be able to safely drive and operate a 15-passenger van and have excellent computer skills.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education and Experience: High School diploma/GED and at minimum of one (1) year experience in the field
- Required Certifications/Registrations:
- Medical working Physical Exam.
- Basic Life Support: CPR annually, AED. First Aid every 3 years.
- 2-Step TB testing annually.
- CPI annually.
- Valid Hawaii State Driver’s License.
- Driving Abstact.
- Fingerprinting (if working with children/adolescents).
