Position: CDL Driver / Equipment Operator
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks and equipment to transport materials, tools, and fabricated components to and from job sites.
- Load, secure, and unload materials in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, or other heavy equipment for material handling as needed.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure vehicles remain in top working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip sheets, and inspection reports.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company operating procedures.
- Represent SH Engineering & Mfg. professionally at job sites and with customers.
Qualifications Required
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL License with clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in construction, fabrication, or industrial settings.
- Experience hauling flatbeds, trailers, and/or equipment loads.
- Knowledge of DOT safety standards and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, etc.).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Preferred
- Experience in waterworks, wastewater treatment, or municipal infrastructure projects.
- Mechanical or fabrication background (basic rigging, loading, or assembly support).
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Basic welding or construction experience a plus but not required.
