POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for picking up and/or delivering items donated or sold. Responsible for maintaining the HFHCC vehicles and keeping daily usage logs. Assists the ReStores as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick up donated good and deliver items sold.
- Review and become familiar with daily routes and help resolve any issues that arise.
- Responsible to load and unload trucks in a safe and secure manner.
- Call donors as needed to confirm scheduled pick-ups and advise management of any delays or the need to possibly reschedule.
- Oversee truck safety and maintenance issues and advise management of possible problems or needs.
- Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork and turn in daily including gas receipts.
- Supervise truck help while making pick-ups and deliveries.
- Carefully load and unload the truck, giving special consideration to the donor’s property.
- Complies with HFHCC Policy Manuals
- Other duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Commitment to the ecumenical Christian principles that Habitat for Humanity was founded on, ready to share the mission of HFHCC.
- Truck driving experience, and Class D license is preferred.
- Ability to pass drug testing and background checks.
- Ability to be a lifetime learner and perform duties in a satisfactory manner.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with a flexible schedule as assigned.
- Attentive, empathetic, collaborative, and harmonious interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate well with all constituents, including staff, partnering families, volunteers, business, religious and political communities.
- High level of self-motivation and stamina in working an appropriate weekly schedule.
- Ability to appropriately represent HFHCC, advocating the mission and objectives of HFHCC at all functions, internally as well as throughout the community.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communications skills, able to effectively handle customer questions and complaints.
- Maintain reasonable and presentable work attire.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Experience in similar position, with satisfactory relevant experience.
- Preference is given for experience with a non-profit volunteer-intensive organization.

WORK SCHEDULE
Supervisor will schedule accordingly. This position may require working Saturdays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
