Duties: Industrial Vacuum Technicians will perform cleaning, material removal, and environmental support services using specialized vacuum equipment in refinery and petrochemical settings. Work may include entry into tanks, vessels, and confined spaces to remove sludge, debris, and byproducts generated during operations. Technicians must be comfortable performing physically demanding, dirty work in hazardous environments, including exposure to heat, chemicals, and industrial residues.
This position requires the ability to travel extensively to various job sites and support 12-hour shifts, often working 7 days per week during active turnaround events. Assignments are project-based by nature, aligned with client shutdown schedules.
Skills Required: Demonstrated industrial experience within refineries, petrochemical plants, olefins units, or similar heavy industrial environments
Proven ability to operate or assist with industrial vacuum equipment and material handling processes
Comfortable performing physically demanding and dirty work, including tank cleaning, sludge removal, and confined space operations
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in hazardous conditions
Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and OSHA regulations
Ability to wear and work in full PPE, including respirators, chemical suits, and protective gear
Willingness to travel to multiple job sites and work extended schedules, including 12-hour shifts and 7 days per week during turnarounds
Ability to follow detailed procedures and work effectively in high-risk, team-based environments
Experience/Qualifications
Prior turnaround or shutdown experience in oilgas, refining, or petrochemical facilities
Current TWIC card
Confined Space Entry, HAZWOPER, or other relevant industrial safety certifications
Experience with hydroblasting, industrial cleaning, or environmental services
Strong work ethic with the ability to perform in fast-paced, deadline-driven project environments
Pay: $23 - $27.00 per hour
