Duties
- Deliver prepared food and beverages from the kitchen to tables efficiently, maintaining presentation quality and temperature standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating or garnishing when needed to support kitchen staff
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a tidy dining area for incoming guests
- Support bussing efforts by removing used dishes, glasses, and utensils to maintain cleanliness and flow
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary needs of guests
- Uphold food safety standards by handling dishes and utensils properly and following sanitation procedures
- Provide friendly, in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with food handling, dishwashing, order taking, serving, and beverage preparation is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest relations abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly in a busy setting, and lift moderate loads safely
- Knowledge of food safety practices and cleanliness standards essential for maintaining a safe dining environment
- Experience with delivery driving or cashiering can be advantageous but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
