Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist with a minimum of five (5) years of purchasing experience in the aerospace fabrication and/or manufacturing industry.
Aerospace purchasing experience is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of raw material specifications, including bar stock, sheet metal, and other aerospace materials. This role is responsible for identifying and sourcing qualified suppliers that meet engineering and quality specifications, negotiating pricing and terms, and purchasing aircraft parts, tooling, and raw materials.
Key responsibilities include preparing and evaluating Requests for Quotation (RFQs), analyzing supplier bids, selecting vendors, issuing and expediting purchase orders, and resolving supplier performance issues. Will monitor open orders, coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, and communicate order status effectively.
This position requires close collaboration with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Management to provide timely updates, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions. The successful candidate will also evaluate opportunities to reduce costs through alternative materials, strategic sourcing, and improved manufacturing or procurement processes.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
