American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring PICC line management experience and an active IL RN license.

Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) unit within a 562-bed, Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital

Day shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) or 3x12-hour shifts

Every third weekend required
-
Charting performed in Cerner (experience preferred)

Floating within scope is required; travelers may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility
-
Block scheduling may be available — candidates should connect with the manager to discuss

No-cost parking permit provided; permit is obtained during orientation

Active IL RN license required; candidates actively in the application process with an ETA will also be considered
-
Current BLS and ACLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)

Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant ICU nursing experience required

PICC line management experience required

Experience starting IVs required
-
SSN and DOB required for consideration

Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction

Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler

Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

RTO of 5 days or fewer is generally accommodable; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
