Position Summary
ACC Member will support NPower Ohio’s mission of creating pathways to economic mobility through tuition-free technology training and workforce development. This member will help strengthen community outreach, support recruitment efforts for new technology pathways, assist with alumni engagement and employment tracking, and build relationships with community organizations, employers, and educational partners throughout the Dayton and surrounding region. The ACC Member will play an important role in helping connect underserved young adults and military-connected individuals to training opportunities that lead to meaningful careers in technology. Through outreach events, relationship building, data collection, and program support, the member will help expand awareness of NPower’s impact while supporting students and alumni as they transition into professional careers. All functions and activities performed by the ACC Member are completed under the guidance, supervision, and direction of program and host site staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support outreach efforts to community organizations, workforce agencies, schools, libraries, churches, and referral partners to increase awareness of NPower Ohio programs.
- Assist with recruitment efforts for emerging technology pathways including Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, IT Support, and Application Development programs.
- Help coordinate and support community presentations, information sessions, open houses, and partner events throughout the Dayton region.
- Conduct follow-up communication with prospective students and alumni through phone calls, email outreach, and virtual engagement.
- Assist with alumni tracking efforts by collecting employment, continuing education, certification, and wage outcome data for reporting purposes.
• Support data collection and reporting efforts using platforms such as Salesforce, Excel, and Google Sheets. • Assist staff with training support activities related to asynchronous learning initiatives including TechSync and other digital learning platforms.
- Assist staff in identifying, documenting, updating, and maintaining outreach materials, contact lists, and community resource documentation.
- Help identify volunteer, mentorship, internship, apprenticeship, and employer partnership opportunities for trainees and alumni.
- Support planning and logistics for networking events, partner lunches, alumni engagement events, and community workforce initiatives.
- Participate in employer and community partner meetings and assist with documenting action items and follow-up tasks.
- Assist with social media outreach, storytelling, and highlighting student and alumni success stories when appropriate.
- Prepare activity summaries and service-related reports for staff review, including outreach, engagement, and partnership activities.
- Support community capacity-building efforts that expand awareness of technology training opportunities and workforce development resources available to underserved populations.
