We operate a large fleet of heavy equipment and production machinery, and we’re looking for a dependable, motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to help keep our operation running strong.

What You’ll Do
You’ll perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment and plant machinery to keep production running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, air systems, and drivetrains
- Assist with urgent repairs to minimize downtime
- Repair and maintain production equipment including grinders, trommel screens, conveyors, and related machinery
- Communicate with operators and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Inspect equipment and document repairs, PMs, parts usage, and downtime
- Follow all shop and safety procedures including LOTO (lockout/tagout)
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience working on heavy equipment, diesel trucks, industrial equipment, or related machinery
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Working knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Dependable, safety-focused, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors and in a physically active environment
- Employee must have standard hand tools
- Company provides specialty tools and diagnostic equipment
Pay & Benefits
- $24–$36 per hour DOE
- 401(k) with 3% company match

Schedule
- Full-time
- 8 -10 hour shifts
- Primarily day shift with occasional nights/weekends as needed
Requirements
- Must be able to commute daily to Barr-Tech near Sprague, WA
· This position requires pre-employment and random drug testing in compliance with Washington State drug-testing laws, including RCW 49.44.240 regarding limitations on pre-employment cannabis testing.”
