Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Seamstress Tailor to join our dry cleaning store. Responsibilities
- Perform garment sewing, stitching, and hand sewing to construct or alter clothing items according to specifications.
- Use sewing machines efficiently for various tasks including hemming, tailoring, and custom apparel production.
- Conduct garment fitting sessions with customers, making necessary adjustments for perfect fit and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly used and stored.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by advising clients on garment care, alterations, and custom design options.
- Intake and retrieve customer orders over the counter.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fashion retail or garment sewing with a strong understanding of garment construction.
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines, pressing machines, and press operation techniques.
- Skilled in hand sewing techniques for detailed or delicate work.
- Knowledge of fabric types, garment fitting, and basic math for measurements and pattern adjustments.
- Ability to perform stitching accurately and efficiently under deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Working/fluent proficiency in English
