Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Scrub Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. In this vital role, you will provide expert assistance during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing surgical instruments, and supporting the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties
- Prepare the operating room by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functional and ready for procedures.
- Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and managing surgical tools with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and uphold infection control standards throughout all procedures.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with current certification as a registered nurse (RN).
- Proven experience working as a scrub nurse in surgical environments; experience in plastics highly desirable.
- Strong background in Operating Room and/or ambulatory surgery centers.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique, suturing skills, infection control practices, and handling sterile equipment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
