Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of rebar, formwork, and concrete finishing to ensure structural integrity and quality standards are met.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to support carpentry, roofing, masonry, and other trades.
- Load, unload, and organize materials such as heavy equipment, scaffolding, and building supplies on-site.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks to move materials and equipment around the construction site efficiently.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support framing, metal stud framing, stucco application, and renovation work.
- Support concrete pouring and pumping operations using concrete mixers and pumps for smooth finishes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting tools and equipment regularly.
- Assist with demolition, restoration projects, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and other specialty tasks as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related roles is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics to interpret project plans accurately.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or cranes is advantageous.
- Skills in masonry, welding, plastering, or trim carpentry will set you apart.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
