Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Owner Operator to join our dynamic delivery team. In this role, you will leverage your driving expertise and customer service skills to ensure timely, safe, and professional deliveries across designated routes. As an owner operator, you’ll have the opportunity to manage your own schedule while representing our company with integrity and enthusiasm. Your primary responsibility will be to load, transport, and unload goods efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. Duties
- Safely operate a box truck with manual transmission across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations, providing excellent customer service through professional interaction and timely arrivals
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
- Plan efficient routes to maximize productivity while minimizing delays and fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records
- Assist with warehouse activities including inventory checks, moving stock, and organizing shipments as needed
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, courier, or delivery driver with a strong understanding of route driving and heavy lifting tasks
- Prior warehouse experience preferred, including familiarity with loading/unloading procedures using forklifts or pallet jacks
- Demonstrated ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving goods, and operating commercial vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL license is a plus but not required for all positions
- Previous experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable
