Registered Nurse Med Surg
Location: Utica, New York
Pay Rate: $1,800 To $2,088/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 AM 7:00 PM
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in Utica, New York. This role supports adult medical-surgical patients, including post-surgical care cases, and requires strong Med Surg nursing experience, prior travel experience, EPIC documentation skills, and the ability to float as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care for adult Med Surg and post-surgical patients
Monitor patients with abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery needs
Manage IV pumps, N/G tubes, feeding tubes, and other unit-specific patient care needs
Document patient assessments, interventions, and updates accurately using EPIC
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and float as needed to support patient care
Requirements
Active New York RN License Required
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
AHA ,BLS,BCLS Certification Required
Must provide skills checklist, driver's license, NURSYS verification, and RTO at submission
