Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Director, handles all fiscal and business activities of the laboratory including budgeting expenses, forecasting, purchasing, and contracting
- Responsible for managing and preparing the operation procurement, grants, statistics and KPI’s reporting
- Interface between the Laboratory and stakeholders, including but not limited to vendors procurement, inventory management, document control management, tracking and statistics reporting
- Maintains operational performance and metrics analysis
- Demonstrates leadership skills, including team building and the ability to motivate and engage others
- Demonstrates working knowledge of State, Federal and Local accreditation standards and regulatory requirements
- Analyzes data to identify opportunities and develop actionable improvements to better manage business needs
- Participates in multidisciplinary task forces, committees and projects, demonstrating team spirit and ability to work with different internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate and support the laboratory management on established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
- Maintains and control the inventory management system of supplies, reagents and consumables
- Supervises the department courier services for the facility and outreach business
- Demonstrates accountability, integrity, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovation
- Familiar with the Medical Center’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements

Position Qualifications
Required Education and /or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Business or related field
- Minimum of Three years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Excellent communication, organizational skills and strong attention to details
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Training and development ability on Grants and Finance transacting matters
Preferred Criteria
- Master’s in Business of Healthcare Administration
- Master’s in Healthcare Management
Salary Commensurate with Experience with posted range:
$65,000 to $75,000 annually
