We are seeking a full-time year-round Front Desk associate to join our Fitness & Wellness Center team! This role combines front desk operations, member service, and facility presentation to deliver an exceptional experience.
Please note: This role requires a flexible schedule, with varying shifts available. Includes weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome members and guests in a friendly, professional manner and ensure a positive first impression
- Manage front desk operations including check-ins, reservations, scheduling, and point-of-sale transactions
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct requests to appropriate team members
- Schedule fitness classes, personal training sessions, and massage appointments; confirm and update bookings as needed
- Maintain organized records and files for Fitness & Wellness Center operations
- Actively engage on the fitness floor—assist members with equipment use and provide general support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including equipment, locker areas, and common spaces
- Restock amenities such as towels, water, and fruit for members and guests
- Prepare group fitness rooms between classes (reset equipment, tidy spaces, fold towels)
- Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, courteous demeanor
- Basic computer proficiency
- Fitness center experience preferred; customer service experience required
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Certifications:
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
