Hilco Vision is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to manage the daily operations of the HR function for our OH manufacturing & distribution center as well as supporting the rest of the organization. They will manage all stages of the employee life cycle and be responsible for managing company-wide insurance benefit programs, as well as administering leave management programs in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, and company policies. This role will require a balanced approach of being able to run independently, while also being a collaborator and team player.
This role will be on site in our Fairfield, OH location, 4 days a week.

A little bit about you:
- You have a BS degree paired with up to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, HR or Benefits certification preferred.
- You are committed to the highest level of confidentiality, have sound judgement, and can handle sensitive and confidential information with poise and professionalism with a positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
- You are comfortable working in an HRIS system (UKG or similar) and proficient in MS office suite.
- You have a solid understanding and experience with administration of various employee benefit programs - health, dental, vision, flex accounts, accident, disability, life, 401k plans.
- With superior written and verbal communication skills, you can communicate with colleagues at all levels with poise and professionalism.
- Understanding the organization is key, you’re able to effectively manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously and can switch gears in responding to rapidly changing organizational needs.
- Well versed in employment laws and regulations, you stay current on and have solid working knowledge of ERISA, FLSA, ACA, FMLA, COBRA, Workers Compensation, EEOC, OSHA Compliance and the reporting of workplace injuries.
- You have direct experience with temporary, non-exempt and exempt employees’ performance, development, time & attendance, and conducting new hire orientation.
What you’ll do & how you’ll make an impact:
- Partner with leadership and employees to grow and sustain a culture of operational excellence in the new location.
- Resolve employee questions, inquiries, complaints or direct them to the appropriate parties including employee investigations.
- Coordinate and deliver new hire onboarding and orientation sessions; own coordination and scheduling of company-wide events (wellness, group trainings, annual functions).
- Initiate and maintain benefits enrollments and ensure changes are entered timely in the payroll system for payroll deduction. Conduct audits of payroll deductions to ensure accuracy between enrollment election, deduction code/amount, and effective dates.
- Will maintain and update our HRIS database including entering and/or updating employee information and running reports to support the HR function.
- Responsible for FMLA/PFML/STD end to end process, respond to UE claims, manage OSHA, Safety and Workers compensation reporting and claims.
