Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections with precision, including IV infusions and immunizations like dermal fillers or botulinum toxin treatments.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, laboratory specimen collection
- Provide acute and chronic pain management, trauma medicine support, and critical care interventions in emergency room or ICU settings.
- Manage patient care plans by coordinating discharge planning, case management, and working with multidisciplinary teams in settings like hospice & palliative medicine or behavioral health.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation for legal and billing purposes using EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
- Support patients across various specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, occupational health, and specialty areas such as infectious disease care or trauma medicine.
Experience
- Hands-on expertise in medical home settings
- Including individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, or those requiring home health care..
- Strong understanding of physiology knowledge and patient assessment skills essential for delivering safe and effective nursing care across multiple specialties.
