Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including personal cars, box trucks, or commercial trucks, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload food orders using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Drive assigned routes efficiently while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Deliver orders directly to customers’ locations, ensuring accurate receipt and handling of items with care.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams via mobile devices to confirm delivery details or address any issues during routes.
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injury.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving material handling equipment operation.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and heavy lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse experience, commercial driving standards, and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients.
- Ability to handle weight in the workplace safely and efficiently while following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Experience operating mobile devices for route navigation and communication purposes.
- Skilled in load & unload procedures, including using equipment like pallet jacks when necessary.
