Momentum Car Wash Specialists is looking for an extra 5 crew to demo and replace a car wash conveyor system in North Augusta, SC. We cut out the old conveyor, then set, align, and weld the new one into place. Straightforward work on a tight, overnight timeline so the wash reopens on schedule.
The work runs in two blocks and you must commit to both:
Tuesday, August 4: 8:00 PM to approximately 4:00 AM (overnight)
Wednesday, August 5: 2:00 PM to approximately midnight
The site has to be back up and running by Thursday morning, so there is zero margin for error.
We're hiring 5 hands: at least 2 must be welder / cutting-torch capable, and the rest are millwrights who are strong with a grinder and demo/install work.
What You'll Be Doing:
Demo and removal of the existing conveyor frame and power pack: belt removal, unbolting, grinding, cutting, and clearing the pit
Set, level, align, and weld the new conveyor frame to final position, straight, level, and square
Install chain, rollers, and drive hardware; assist with cleanup and testing prep
What We're Looking For:
Proven hands-on mechanical installation and equipment demolition experience, required
Grinding experience required
For the welder slots: SMAW welding and cutting torch experience
Comfortable working overnight, in a tight pit, under a hard deadline
Available for BOTH blocks (August 4-5) with no schedule conflicts
Pay:
$30/hour base (millwright, solid with a grinder)
+$5/hour with welding certification and the ability to weld for us ($35/hour)
What We Provide:
All tools and equipment on-site: welding power, forklift, and dumpsters. Bring yourself and your skills.
Safety gear available if needed, though we recommend bringing your own PPE
