ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a hands-on Service Technician to travel to customer facilities and keep industrial autoclaves and ovens operating safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll perform preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and basic repairs while serving as a professional representative of ASC. This position is ideal for someone with industrial maintenance, HVAC, or related mechanical experience who enjoys solving problems, working directly with customers, and traveling domestically and internationally. Travel may be up to 80%, so flexibility and a sense of adventure are a must!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel domestically and internationally to customer facilities to perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and basic repairs on autoclaves and ovens. Up to 80% travel is expected.
- Drive and maintain a company-owned service van when required to perform local service work.
- Prepare service reports by analyzing and summarizing service work to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Track worked hours accurately to assure proper billing to customer.
- Represent ASC by acting professionally, arriving to locations on time, and reliably communicating activities to the customer.
- Promote ASC’s products and services in interactions with customers
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all written and verbal procedures, rules, and regulations from ASC, along with customer requirements.
- Assist ASC’s Facilities Department in equipment repairs and maintenance when not working in the field
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance, HVAC, or related field
- Must be able to travel up to 80%
- Proficiency with basic mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatic concepts related to machine tools.
- Good verbal and written communication
- Valid California driver’s license and a good driving record
- Must be able to lift objects weighing 70 lbs.
