Visionarium is looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly organized Lead Line Cook to become a key member of our growing team.
We are not looking for an Executive Chef. We are looking for a professional cook who loves being in the kitchen, enjoys preparing beautiful, consistent dishes, and takes pride in leading by example.
Our cuisine is authentic Italian—simple, fresh, and carefully executed. We believe that excellence comes from consistency, attention to detail, organization, and teamwork rather than unnecessary complexity.
The ideal candidate is someone who is looking for a long-term, stable position, is passionate about cooking, has strong organizational skills, and is capable of building, coordinating, and motivating a professional kitchen team.
This person will play an essential role in establishing kitchen standards, improving daily operations, and ensuring that every dish leaving the kitchen reflects the Visionarium experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with consistency, precision, and attention to presentation.
- Oversee all stages of food preparation and service.
- Coordinate, organize, and lead the daily work of the kitchen staff.
- Train, motivate, and help develop kitchen team members.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization.
- Ensure recipes and portions are consistently followed.
- Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Help create an organized, respectful, and positive work environment.
- Continuously improve kitchen workflow and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience.
- Previous experience coordinating or supervising kitchen staff is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Passion for cooking and pride in producing high-quality food.
- Excellent attention to detail and plate presentation.
- Ability to remain calm and organized during high-volume service.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with room for growth.
Compensation
Starting pay is $19.00 per hour.
Candidates with exceptional experience, leadership ability, and proven performance will be considered for a higher starting wage.
