Job Description:
RECON Engineering & Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support construction operations within a major semiconductor manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona.
This hourly, on-site position provides daily technical, administrative, project controls, and QA/QC support. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, superintendents, field personnel, vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors in a fast-paced, highly controlled construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage RFIs, submittals, engineering logs, and technical documentation.
- Track manpower, equipment, material deliveries, and daily progress.
- Support QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, NCRs, weld records, material traceability, and turnover packages.
- Assist with field verification, redlines, and as-built updates.
- Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors.
- Prepare daily and weekly look-ahead schedules and constraint-removal lists.
- Support commissioning, testing, and startup documentation.
- Ensure compliance with semiconductor facility protocols.
- Participate in safety meetings, JHAs, and incident-prevention planning.
- Provide clear and timely communication to field and office leadership.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate technical and QA/QC documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Previous construction, project engineering, project controls, QA/QC, commissioning, or semiconductor experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, ITPs, NCRs, weld documentation, redlines, as-built drawings, and turnover packages is preferred.
- Commitment to workplace safety and semiconductor facility requirements.
Compensation:
The hourly pay range is $24.00–$48.00. Placement within the range will be based on experience, technical competency, QA/QC proficiency, semiconductor-industry experience, and the candidate’s overall evaluation.
