Position Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible for driving event sales for Peachtree Catering and Events, with a primary focus on generating and converting business at Peachtree's exclusive venues. The position manages sales for assigned venues and provides prospective clients with a knowledgeable, responsive, and engaging sales experience from initial inquiry through contract.
This position develops and maintains a strong pipeline of prospective clients, conducts venue tours and consultations, prepares proposals and contracts, and works collaboratively with the Sales, Event Coordination, Culinary, Operations, Beverage, and Marketing teams to convert inquiries into successful events.
The Sales Manager is expected to develop a thorough understanding of Peachtree's venues, catering services, pricing, and event capabilities and to confidently communicate the value and unique strengths of each assigned property. The position requires a proactive salesperson who can identify client needs, overcome objections, recognize opportunities, and develop creative solutions that support both the client experience and the Company's sales goals.
While the position is primarily focused on sales at Peachtree's exclusive venues, the Sales Manager is expected to support other sales opportunities, venues, and Company initiatives as business needs require
Essential Responsibilities

Manage incoming inquiries and sales opportunities for assigned Peachtree venues, providing timely, professional, and consistent follow-up throughout the sales process.

Conduct venue tours, consultations, and sales appointments that effectively communicate the unique features, capabilities, and value of Peachtree's venues and services.

Build strong relationships with prospective clients, understand their event priorities, and recommend venue, catering, and service options that meet their needs.

Consistently work to convert qualified inquiries into contracted events and meet or exceed established individual and departmental sales goals.

Maintain an active and balanced sales pipeline and proactively follow up with prospective clients to advance opportunities through the sales process.

Prepare accurate proposals, contracts, estimates, and revisions using the Company's event management and sales systems.

Maintain accurate and current client, event, and sales information within the Company's CRM and event management platforms.

Develop strong knowledge of assigned venues, including event spaces, capacities, packages, pricing, logistical considerations, and available enhancements.

Confidently address client questions and objections and identify creative solutions when venue, budget, logistical, or service considerations present challenges.

Identify recurring client feedback, sales barriers, competitive trends, and opportunities for improvement and communicate actionable information to the Director of Sales & Business Development and appropriate department leaders.

Partner with Marketing and Sales leadership to support venue positioning, promotional initiatives, lead generation, open houses, industry events, and other efforts designed to increase qualified inquiries and bookings.

Cultivate relationships with planners, vendors, industry professionals, community partners, and other referral sources that may generate new business.

Work collaboratively with other Sales Managers to appropriately distribute opportunities, share market knowledge, and support overall departmental sales goals.

Collaborate with Event Coordination, Culinary, Beverage, Operations, and other departments to ensure commitments made during the sales process are accurate, achievable, and effectively transitioned to the event planning and execution teams.

Understand Peachtree's pricing structure and work within established pricing and discount parameters, consulting with the Director of Sales & Business Development when exceptions or strategic pricing decisions are appropriate.

Identify opportunities to maximize event revenue through appropriate enhancements, upgrades, menu selections, beverage offerings, and additional services.

Maintain awareness of the local event market, competing venues, hospitality trends, and evolving client expectations.

Participate in group tastings, open houses, networking opportunities, industry events, venue showcases, and other sales-related events as required.

Attend and actively participate in Sales meetings, training sessions, and other required Company meetings.

Provide sales coverage for other Peachtree venues or members of the Sales team when business needs require.

Assist with additional sales initiatives and departmental priorities as business needs evolve.
