Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of goods within our warehouse facility. The successful candidate will operate various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts, to load and unload shipments, organize inventory, and support warehouse distribution operations. Shift: Monday-Friday 5am-1:30pm
Pay $19.50hr
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment
- Manage order picking processes using various equipment including <PERSON> pickers and order picker systems.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance to ensure operational safety.
- Support warehouse management system (WMS) data entry for inventory tracking, order processing, and stock organization.
- Handle materials with care during movement to prevent damage and ensure proper storage in designated areas.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve workflow efficiency.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Assist in warehouse distribution activities by preparing orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while utilizing proper techniques to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks within a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Prior experience with order picking, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling.
- Mechanical knowledge or basic equipment repair skills are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or managing distribution operations is a plus.
