Windy Acres Assisted Living w/ Dementia care is hiring RELIABLE and LOCAL Nursing Assistants for the following positions:
1) NOCs 10p-6a SLEEP/AWAKE: (rate of pay $16-$17 to start) This is a combination of two different types of overnight shifts that include:
-Sleep 10p-4a on-site For a flat rate & Awake 4a-6a on specific job tasks list.
-Awake 10p-6a tasks and cares completed per schedule… awake all shift…
the NOC position is a COMBINATION of both types of NOC shift and requires every other weekend (Friday-Sunday) as a minimum for employment
2) FLOAT: availability ALL shifts (Rate of Pay $19-$20 to start):
This is a unique position within our company. Your schedule will be given 2 weeks at a time 1 week prior to the pay period/2 wk schedule. This position does not have a ‘block’ schedule. Shifts may be 4- 16 hours per shift, and staff will be available 12 of 14 days per pay-period with guaranteed off every other Sat and Sun ( you will NOT work 12 of 14 days, but must be available for schduler) All other days and shift will vary based on company needs for that pay-period.
3) PRN: (rate of pay $16-$17 to start)
Requires Minimum of 6 shifts per month (2 weekend shifts and 4 non-weekend shifts) from available shifts within the facility that you choose.
PRN staff are not eligable for listed bonus/shift differential on base 6 shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide health care services to residents
- Perform domestic and household tasks
- Administer prescribed medications
- Assist with clients personal care activities (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, etc)
- Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) and report on their condition
- Maintain patients care records and document provided services
- Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
Employee Must:
- Be 18 yrs of age or older within 90 days of employment
- Able to work every other weekend as condition of employment
- Ability to pass a MN DHS background check
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Proficiency in English
- Communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Helpful, but not mandatory:
- Experience as a CNA/NA/HHA/PCA/RA Caregiver
- Have interest or experience with Geriatric populations
- CPR certification
Our facility houses up to 15 residents ages 55 and older in a very large home setting. This setting has 2 staff members on each shift to meet the needs of the residents in addition to support staff of RN, LALD, admin assistant and cook in commercial kitchen. This is a great staff to resident ratio!! The resident needs in the areas of ADL (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, etc), IADLs (laundry, cleaning, etc) and medication management that occurs as directed by an RN. These tasks range from staff reminders to staff completing, based on each individual resident needs.
This is an ideal work environment with staff to resident ratios allowing for the one on one time and special attention to resident wants in addition to needs. Staff have access to a Nurse 24/7 to address resident needs.

- Raise and review at 90 days (based on attendance and workmanship)
Base pay: $16-20/hr depending on position and certification (CNAs start higher rate of pay). This means you won't make less than the base pay, you will never be sent home or hours cut due to a 'low census'! (All positions have potential for $1.00 increase after 90 days)
Census pay: you get paid more money, the more residents the facility has over a set threshhold!!
Extra pay: In addition to the base pay and the census pay, there are extra shifts available that have an additional 'shift differential' of $3.00 per hour more that trained staff can pick up.- Excludes Float
OT: We also pay overtime if earned at time and a half!
Holiday pay: double time for company holidays.
