Under the direction of the COO, the Post Closer is responsible for working with investors to clear deficiencies on closed loans, resulting in the loan being purchased. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Gathers and reviews pre-purchase conditions requested by the investor.
- Responds to investor’s requests for documentation.

Challenges conditions that are not applicable to affect the purchase of the loan.

Establishes and maintains good working relations with the investors.

Works with loan originators, processors, underwriters, and closers to resolve deficiencies and expedite loan purchases with investors.

Manages loan pipeline to clear files from warehouse lines in a timely manner.

Maintains current knowledge of agency, investor, and underwriting requirements.

Provides clear, effective communications to team members.

Assists with training post-closing staff in the department.

Performs additional duties as assigned by management of The Mortgage Firm.

Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Encompass and Microsoft Outlook

Minimum of high school diploma required.
- Highly detailed and organized with ability to multi-task.

Professional image.

Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC, and investor guidelines.

Minimum 2 years recent mortgage loan processing or loan closing experience required.

Position may require extended periods of sedentary activity
- Position requires use of traditional office equipment such as a computer, laptop, tablet, cell phone, and copy/fax machine
