Responsibilities:
As a Window and Door Inside Sales person, your core responsibilities will be promoting and selling our full range of Showroom products to our homeowner consumer base, professional builders and commercial clients. Duties will include interacting with decision makers such as architects, designers and owners both on site in the Berkeley showroom and in the field as needed. The job will require an outgoing friendly personality, good listening skills, accuracy and an ability to learn, retain and explain product details. You will need a professional attitude, a pleasant disposition and good communication skills when working face to face or on the phone with clients. You will need good computer skills to process orders and research product information. You will need to be able to work in a team environment and be able to multitask when responding to customer needs.
Schedule:
- The Inside Sales position status is considered non-exempt.
- You are paid hourly and are eligible for overtime.
- Your supervisor will set your schedule, but you will need to be available during Truitt and White regular business hours including some Saturdays.
Training:
- Ongoing product training (including offsite fly backs to manufacturers’ facilities), sales training, management training, company harassment training, first aid/ CPR.
Company/Trade Events:
- Attendance is expected at company meetings and events as well as some trade events.
Licenses:
- Current California class C driver’s license, maintain an insurable driving record.
Physical Demands:

- Sitting and standing for extended periods.
- Converse with people both in person and by phone or internet.
- Drive a car and travel as needed.
- Capability to negotiate construction jobsites and climbing stairs.
- Lift and carry sample displays occasionally.
- Work on a computer.
Be able to speak publicly to customer and employee groups.

Communication and Technical Skills:

- Customer intake and understanding of needs.
- Extensive knowledge of product options, capabilities and requirements and the ability to present them to customers.
- Reading architectural or designer drawings and notes
- Understanding of some building codes
- Keeping customer projects organized and up to date
Computer Skills:
Proficient in windows-based software applications, Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Marvin OMS and other vendors’ Order Management System software, Bistrack ERP software.
Communication/Mental/ Emotional Demands:
- Able to work closely with others in a team environment.
- Handle adverse customer service situations with a stable attitude.
- Multitask and work within deadlines and time constraints.
- Maintain a professional composure at all times.
