Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Driver and Warehouse Picker to join our team! This energetic role combines the essential duties of safely operating commercial vehicles, such as box trucks, with efficient warehouse picking and loading tasks. As a key player in our logistics operation, you will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and <PERSON> driver vehicles following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and route schedules to deliver goods efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Pick orders accurately from warehouse inventory, ensuring correct items and quantities are prepared for delivery or shipment.
- Move products within the warehouse using forklifts or pallet jacks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Load cargo onto trucks securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with safety standards.
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ locations with professionalism and excellent customer service skills, addressing any questions or concerns during interactions.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, load & unload activities, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in manual handling, heavy lifting, and moving inventory efficiently record; experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
- Prior delivery driver experience demonstrating route driving skills and customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles safely; certification is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina for manual lifting tasks and moving heavy items regularly.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for order accuracy and record keeping.
