We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our life-saving team. This role supports the medical wellbeing of our shelter cats and clinic patients. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize the surgical suite to ensure cleanliness and readiness for procedures. Clean instruments and operate Autoclave.
- Conduct daily wellness checks on cats in the adoption center and infirmary.
- Intake new feline arrivals, administer therapies and treatments.
- Assist in high-volume spay/neuter clinics and support veterinarians during detailed surgical procedures.
- enter in accurate and detailed medical and treatment records for shelter animals and clinic patients.
- Assist with Clinic check-ins and interface with clients as needed.
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and shelter staff.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter REQUIRED.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize based on patient needs.
- Comfortable handling cats, including feral or fearful cats.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer use and capable of maintaining accurate records.
- Able to work under pressure and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
Compensation:
- Pay Rate is commensurate with experience and skill level.
