Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure a hygienic environment for guests and staff
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
- Handle manual tasks such as food portioning, weight handling, and processing cash transactions accurately using POS systems
- Assist with food handling and catering setup for special events or large groups when needed
- Provide in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating dietary needs
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles, particularly in fine dining or restaurant environments
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety management practices
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and POS systems for processing transactions
- Experience with cleaning protocols related to food safety sanitizing procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Additional experience in catering, dietary aide roles, or culinary settings is advantageous
