Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and excellent customer service skills to facilitate a seamless experience for clients.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed.
- Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended repairs.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure all necessary repairs are accounted for in estimates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques and industry trends.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process, addressing any concerns or questions.
- Assist in managing the workflow within the body shop to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Skills
- Strong background in automotive sales and customer service.
- Proficiency in auto body repair techniques and processes.
- Experience in service writing and auto service management is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
