Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pallet Jack Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, with expertise in operating manual and powered material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and clamp trucks. This role is essential for ensuring efficient order picking, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and effective warehouse operations to support seamless distribution processes.
Duties
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment safely to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and heavy lifting guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock locations, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment by properly storing materials and adhering to safety standards outlined by OSHA.
Experience
- Prior experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, clamp trucks, or other heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong background in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling procedures aligned with OSHA standards.
- Experience in materials handling, heavy lifting, and using mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues is preferred.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and safety compliance.
