Job description
Medical assistant needed for small internal medicine practice in Glen Rock. The practice is located in a beautiful office, working in a collaborative team with a patient centered approach, consistent healthy schedule, and competitive hourly salary.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Hours: Tuesday-Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday Evening 12:30-7:30
2. Ability to work the front desk position when coverage is needed: Reception, patient appointment confirmation, answer phones
3. MA Responsibilities: Obtain patient vitals, administer basic tests (hearing/vision), phlebotomy, prepare treatment rooms patient exams and assist practitioners with a variety of procedures
4. Back office responsibilities: Prescription renewal, working in our EMR for basic admin/billing tasks
5. Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
6. Attention to detail, professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills required
Required Qualifications:
1. Have a High School degree or equivalent
2. Current license from a medical assistant program
3. 3 years of experience as a medical assistant
4. Basic knowledge of EMR, EKG, vitals etc.
5. Previous work references required

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
