Description:
Responsible for the tray setup for patients/residents in a timely and sanitary manner, which includes work station setup, assembly, and delivery/retrieving of patients’/residents’ trays. Cold food items will be prepared in accordance with diets. Cleans the work station, equipment, dishes, and flatware. Receives supervision from higher level management
Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):

Set up work station to facilitate efficient meal service

Assemble all food trays in accordance to diet order

Highlight critical information on card (i.e. allergies, dislikes, etc.)

Deliver/retrieve trays at designated times

Prepare and deliver between-meal nourishments to hospital units according to specification

Prepare salads, desserts, and all beverages for meals
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school graduate or equivalent
-
One year of experience in serving establishment
Necessary Skills:
-
Knowledge of principles of sanitation including health and safety practices and cleaning methods

Maintain strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations

Knowledge of basic mathematics

Knowledge of institutional kitchens, utensils, and equipment and ability to operate

Basic computer knowledge
