About Improv Playhouse: Improv Playhouse® is more than just a theater; it's a community committed to the transformative power of improvisation and the performing arts. Our mission, Entertain-Educate-Elevate, guides us in creating a positive and supportive environment where children (and adults) explore their imagination, build self-confidence, and develop essential life skills through acting, film, improv, and musical theatre. With a vibrant summer camp program running from June to August, we infuse joy and fun into every child's journey.
What We’re Looking For: Are you passionate about creating safe spaces for children to thrive? We're seeking enthusiastic Summer Interns to join our team. As an Intern, you'll assist with administrative duties in the office and on-site summer camp activities.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum one-year undergraduate education or equivalent experience in arts administration, marketing, or communications.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-starter, multi-task oriented, and computer literate.
- Willingness to engage with audiences and accommodate visitors.
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
- Some technical theatre experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a team.
- Valid Driver’s License/Vehicle.
Summer Duties Include:
- Assist with Summer Camp Admin Work: data entry, supply runs, email drafting, etc.
- Update mailing lists in Excel and CRM software.
- Help create rosters and sign-in sheets.
- Support Camp and Summerstock Operations.
- Maintain databases, calendars, and production records.
- Fill in for office staff on errands.
- Contribute to maintaining a friendly, clean, and safe working environment in the theater.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
