American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital

Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
-
Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Every other weekend required
-
Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus locations

No on-call requirements

Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Active RN license — NC state or Compact license currently in hand; pending licenses are not accepted

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day (estimated 4–10 hours)

Royal blue and white scrubs required

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning

Night shift travelers may extend up to two times before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months

RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a maximum of 4 days unless otherwise approved

Only one holiday off can be approved per assignment

First-time travelers are not mentioned as accepted; 2 years of relevant experience is required
