Key Responsibility
- Machine Operation: Operate labeler machines to apply labels to aerosol cans, ensuring proper alignment and adhesion.
- Machine Setup & Adjustment: Set up and adjust labeler machines for different product types and label sizes.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality and consistency. Ensure labels are properly applied and free from defects.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the labeler machines to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure that the work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Production Efficiency: Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to meet production goals while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Record Keeping: Complete necessary production logs, machine reports, and maintenance records.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including other operators, quality control, and supervisors, to ensure smooth production runs.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and participate in process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime.
Qualifications
- Proficient in reading and writing in English.
- Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Basic knowledge of machine mechanics and troubleshooting.
- Strong focus on quality control and the ability to identify issues in both the machinery and the final product.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and maintenance staff.
- Willingness to work on different shifts, including weekends, overtime, and rotating schedules as required.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or packaging environment, especially in aerosol or similar industries, is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for tracking production data and reporting.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up or move up to 50 lbs., and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery, controls, and tools.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment with exposure to chemicals and various production materials.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be required as per facility safety standards
Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $20.50/hour plus .50 cent differential pay. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
